The League of Women Voters of Concord-Carlisle will kick off the fall with a timely look at the latest developments surrounding MCI Concord. Since the State of Massachusetts closed the prison last summer, the MCI Concord Advisory Board, town officials, and other stakeholders have been working to chart a path forward for this significant parcel of land.
This session will cover key issues under discussion, including the future of the prison’s wastewater treatment facility, possible zoning changes, impacts on municipal services and other town developments, and more. Attendees will also have the chance to share their perspectives and ask questions.
The First Friday Series is a monthly, interactive forum on issues vital to the Town of Concord. It is co-sponsored by the LWVCC Town Government Committee and the Concord Free Public Library. This hybrid event is free and open to all.
