Issues & Action

The League of Women Voters of Concord-Carlisle (LWVCC) advocates for public policies grounded in member agreement and rigorous study. We are a grassroots organization—our positions and priorities are shaped from the bottom up, with League members driving the process at the local, state, and national levels.

The League acts on issues only when we have established positions. These positions are the result of careful research, discussion, and member consensus. Once a position is adopted, the League may speak out, educate the public, or advocate for change—always in accordance with our nonpartisan values. While we never support or oppose political candidates or parties, we do support civic engagement and informed participation in democracy.

LWVCC also encourages individuals to raise their voices—whether by contacting elected officials, writing letters, attending public meetings, or running for office themselves.
