Join us for an evening of learning and dialogue on understanding and addressing hate in our community. Topics include recognizing hate incidents, understanding antisemitism, and how to respond when we witness acts of hate. Together, we can take meaningful action to foster respect, deepen understanding, and build unity in Concord and beyond.

Program:

The forum will open with four guiding questions, each explored by community leaders and experts:

  1. What is a hate incident?
  2. How do we respond to a hate incident?
  3. What is antisemitism?
  4. How do we respond when we see it?

Panelists include members of the Concord Select Board, DEI Commission, School Committee, faith leaders, and more. Full list of panelists to come. The Forum will be moderated by Diane Proctor, Chair of the LWVCC Town Government Committee.

After the panel conversation, the program will continue with time for community comments, questions, and open dialogue.

Please note that this forum is intended to be a respectful and safe space for dialogue on the recent incidents of hate and antisemitism in our community and schools. Civility should be the norm as we come together to listen with honesty, extend courtesy, and learn from one another.

The forum takes place at the Goodwin Forum at the Concord Free Public Library and is open to all. You can also join via Zoom.
