Dear League Member,
On behalf of our League board and staff, we sincerely hope your year is off to a promising start despite the recent snowstorm and unrest in our country. We know the cold weather and our country’s challenging times can be difficult, but you can counter them by socializing more, making new League friends, and volunteering alongside others in our growing League community
Speaking of . . . our League office is starting to pick up the pace as we prepare for several upcoming initiatives. These include our candidate forums, our Voter’s Guide in partnership with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and ongoing voter registration events at naturalization ceremonies, high schools, and college campuses. I’m deeply grateful for the teams we have in place and their unwavering dedication to our programs. Their expertise and passion make our mission possible. So, if you’re interested in joining our efforts and making a difference, please don't hesitate to reach out to our office for more information.
Our highly anticipated Trivia Night 2026 is nearly sold out thanks to the exceptional efforts of this year’s fabulous committee, led by Committee Chair Ed Voss. Ed and his talented team, including Julie Gaebe, Katelyn Knicl, and Chantal Hoffsten, have spent the past six months or more preparing for the big event. The committee has crafted a night of eight exciting rounds of trivia questions, a wine pull, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, plus a very nice attendance prize for one lucky winner! All proceeds help support our mission to empower voters and defend our democracy!
Until then, please continue to keep in your thoughts and prayers the many fellow Americans who are currently facing significant challenges and genuine fears in these uncertain times. As informed League members, we are fortunate to have the power and know-how to create meaningful change - whether it’s making a phone call, writing a letter to advocate for change, or donating food to those in need. Remember, every single effort, no matter how small, contributes to making our city, state, and country safer for everyone!
Sincerely,
Sandra Richason
