Every Monday when the legislature is in session, the Missouri League publishes a legislative bulletin that describes the progress of bills, alerts readers to upcoming hearings and votes, and calls on members to take action.  Topics include voting rights, bills that enhance or threaten democracy, subjects on which the League has taken a position, and proposed legislation of outstanding public interest.

For example, this week the bulletin describes bills concerning elections, reproductive rights, minimum wage and sick leave, gun safety, the Missouri budget, education, and preemption of local ordinances pertinent to employment law.

The legislative bulletin includes the bill’s sponsor, a brief summary of the content of the bill, developments expected in the coming week, and whether the League takes a position in support of or opposition to the bill.

To see this bulletin, as well as the calls to action usually issued on the same day, visit the Missouri League's website.  In other areas of the Missouri League's website, you will find statements, press releases, and op-ed pieces from the state president, such as the recent statement opposing measures to make the citizens' initiative-petition process more difficult
