The League of Women Voters of Bucks County, a nonpartisan organization, is dedicated to providing voter education and services and advocating for issues.  We envision a democracy where every person has the desire, the right, the knowledge and the confidence to participate.  We are committed to creating and promoting a diverse and inclusive environment in our organization and in the areas in which we work.

Public Statement

Three nonprofit organizations will host 20 candidates Sept. 12 at Bucks County Community College in Newtown. BCCC Social Science faculty member Bill Pezza will moderate the live, non-partisan forum to educate voters ahead of the Nov. 5 election.

In celebration and recognition of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month, we will be reading and discussing writer Laurie Frankel's novel about a family's reactions and journey when their little boy declares he wants to be a girl when he grows up.

Democracy depends on the participation of its citizens, and the more Pennsylvanians who stand up and fight for our rights and freedoms, the better our state will be. Being an informed voter is our best shot at preserving the precious democracy we so love and deserve.
