We invite you to join the League of Women Voters! Anyone 16 years of age or older is welcome. You do not have to be a citizen of the United States to join, but you do have to be a resident. Joining a local League automatically includes state and national League membership.
As a LWV member, you will:
- have the opportunity to participate in local, state, and national League work,
- access to a special members-only section of the LWV-MT website (registration is required),
- get exclusive civic information you can trust, and
- know that your membership dues add to our grassroots strength and our financial resources.
The League's activities include:
- Presenting non-partisan information covering all sides of issues.
- Studying issues and developing positions by member consensus.
- Taking action based on positions.
- Facilitating informational public meetings.
- Helping with voter registration and encouraging voter turnout.
- Making Democracy work by promoting participation on boards and councils and interest in running for public office.

Membership Dues are Waived for Students: If you are a student 16 years of age or older, studying in high school, technical school or college, membership in the League is free. To become a member, fill out the membership form and be sure to include your place of study. Do not submit payment.
