Gun Violence

Action Alerts

The League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania (LWVPA) believes that the proliferation of handguns and semiautomatic assault weapons in the United States is a major health and safety threat to its citizens, in particular children. For years, we have advocated for the passage of common-sense gun laws that protect the health and safety of all Pennsylvanians. Help advocate for the passage of two life-saving gun safety bills with bipartisan PA House Bill 1018 and PA House Bill 714.

Hydrogen Tank

Action Alerts

Write to the U.S. department of Energy by Sept. 25 and oppose hydrogen hubs for Pennsylvania. Proponents try to "green wash" hydrogen hub proposals but they are not green energy unless fully powered by renewable energy sources. They rare "blue energy" that requires enormous amounts of fossil fuel to implement and are not environmentally friendly.

Action Alerts

The League of Women Voters of the United States adopted the following resolution, proposed by Radnor LWV Member Roberta Winters in June 2022, declaring climate change a national and international emergency. We are calling on League members and others to ask their local governments to adopt this resolution.
