The Christina School District in Newark, Delaware has a referendum election scheduled on June 9, 2020. More information is available on the Christina District Referendum Homepage.

You may vote in this election if you:

• Show proof of identity and address;
• Are a U.S. and Delaware citizen;
• Are at least 18 years old; and
• Live in the Christina School District

Voters may use any open Polling Place within the school district from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on the day of the election.

Absentee ballots are available from the New Castle County Department of Elections: electionsncc.delaware.gov/PubSchool/sch_abs.shtml.

Per Governor Carney's emergency order, staying home for COVID-19 isolation is a valid reason to request an absentee ballot. Citizens are to select the "sick or physically disabled" reason code when requesting a school election absentee ballot due to quarantine or self-isolation during the 2020 pandemic.
