Training for Housing Discrimination Testers - ECHO Housing (Ally Organization)
Thursday, June 18, 2020 - 10:00am to 12:30pm
ECHO Housing will be conducting a free training for persons interested in helping to uncover housing discrimination in the Bay Area. Fair Housing Specialists document complaints of housing discrimination and investigate fair housing complaints. Testers are trained to pose as home seekers, collect information, and report to Staff about their experiences.
Testers work as independent contractors on an as-needed, on call basis. The frequency with which testers are called is determined by the types of cases investigated. Compensation for the project is $50 per test and 45 cents per mile.
ECHO Housing cannot accept applicants with previous drug, perjury, or felony convictions.
Due to the County's Shelter-in-Place order, this training will be provided via webinar.
