My husband’s friend shared this link to “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man” which I found to be very good in helping me feel hopeful. The young black man offers a safe space for dialogue where he answers the various questions that white people ask. He seeks to inform in order to promote understanding. As a historian and educator, I believe this young man’s personable method of providing a way to open up understanding about our nation’s far too long history of racism and its painful consequences on the life experiences of black Americans is well done. He is civil, concise, and compassionate. I look forward to his next conversation. I thought you might appreciate it, too.”
