August Topic - Classical Music

The TED Talk for August is going to take a bit of a holiday!  This month’s talk is stepping away from the hard topics that we have been discussing over the last months and switching it up to a presentation that was chosen to replenish our spirits.  Boston Philharmonic conductor, Benjamin Zander, combines his two infectious passions: classical music and helping us all realize our untapped love for it in his presentation entitled; The Transformative Power of Classical Music.  Mr. Zander’s presentation may start with a simple example of a child learning to play the piano, but it ends in a crescendo of a powerful message on how we can tap into our own love for new possibilities, new experiences, and new connections.

As conductor of the Boston Philharmonic, Benjamin Zander, has built a reputation as being charismatic and having ‘unyielding energy’.   One aspect of the reputation is his brilliant pre-concert talks with the audience.   Mr. Zander has traveled the world as a guest conductor as well as a speaker on leadership. “He uses music to help people open their minds and create joyful harmonies that bring out the best in themselves and their colleagues.”

Join us for this TED Talk discussion on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 1:00 to view the presentation. Come! Be inspired to seek out new possibilities and connections.
