III. Comprehensive Plan
A. Sierra Club Zoom meeting on the Comp Plan....August 27th, 5 pm; you
need to register in advance.

C. Review comprehensive plan overall idea.
D. What are some concepts we might like to see represented in the Comp Plan update? What League positions do we have that would support these concepts?
1. Single family zoning...(Sheila and Donna: can you each summarize
one of the following linked articles to see how this zoning might be
helpful in making housing more available to a broad range of
ethnicities?) The racist roots of single-family zoning
2. Loosen permits so that green building can be allowed? (Jane?)
3. Heavy industrial zoning....require "special use" for all heavy industry,
and not just the 5 the DLU suggests? Please see attachment for
summary.
4. Establish clear-cut criteria for open space and farmland preservation?
