Regular third-Monday meeting of the LWVNCC Great Decisions discussion group. 

LWVNCC Great Decisions foreign policy discussions are open to the public. Newcomers, if you would like to attend, please contact Brenda Toomey for instructions.

This group normally meets at the Newark Free Library eight months out of the year, but have been meeting virtuallly due to the COVID-19 library closure. The May and June 2021 meetings will be held at a private home in Newark... a step back toward normalcy. Great Decisions will then take a break for the summer, reconvening again in September after the June discussion.

The eight Great Decisions Topics chosen by the Foreign Policy Association for 2021 are as follows:

• Global Supply Chains and National Security (done in February)
• Persian Gulf Security Issues (done in March)
• Brexit and the European Union (done in April)
• Struggles Over the Melting Arctic (done in May)
• China’s Role in Africa (scheduled: June 21)
• The Korean Peninsula (TBD)
• Roles of International Organizations in a Global Pandemic (TBD)
• The end of globalization? (TBD)
