Delaware's POWER (People for Offshore Wind Energy Resources) coalition, of which LWVDE is a member, is holding informational public presentations in each county to in April/May 2024. New Castle County's session is at the Route 9 Library on Wednesday May 8th at 6pm. Attend to learn how Delaware can benefit from an offshore wind project.

POWER is currently focused on passing DE Senate Bill 265 (SB 265) to bring offshore wind power to Delaware to help meet the state's climate goals. They are also having a Lobby Day for the SB 265 on Thursday May 16th at Legislative Hall in Dover (signup: Tinyurl.com/Lobby-Day-24) and a letter-writing campaign (contact your senator and representative in Dover), both spearheaded by the Delaware chapter of the Sierra Club.
