Women's (In)Equality Week

Women's (In)Equality Week

Womens InEquality Day Graphic
Saturday, August 26, 2023 - 12:00am to 11:45pm

August 26, otherwise known as Women's Equality Day, marks the anniversary of the certification of the 19th Amendment, which granted some women the right to vote. Yet today, women have fewer rights than they'd had in decades. To recognize this, we acknowledge Women's Inequality Day.

This year’s campaign will run Aug. 26 – 30 and center around empowering women to make their voices heard at the ballot box by equipping them with essential voter information. Throughout the week, we will have a different action for voters to take, like verifying their voter registration and learning how women voters turn out throughout the country. The daily actions are:

  1. Monday, Aug. 26 | Share the campaign in your community
  2. Tuesday, Aug. 27 | Verify your voter registration
  3. Wednesday, Aug. 28 | Become a Poll Worker
  4. Thursday, Aug. 29 | The Power of Women
  5. Friday, Aug. 30 | Share what women's issue you're voting for on your social media platforms and use the hashtag #WomenVote2024

Women power democracy. Get involved today!
