Orange Coast Survey 2025 Submission
by Anne Stone
Orange Coast completed the LWVUS Annual League Survey regarding our program work during the period January 1 through December 31 2024. The survey was very comprehensive, with 65 questions. The OC Board reviewed the survey and provided input.
Questions included identifying our priorities, what we did to encourage voting in the 2024 election, how many of our members participated in both voting and other activities and how many volunteer hours we contributed.
Our main priorities for 2024 were Housing/Homelessness, Civic Education, Climate Change, Government, Health care, Criminal Justice, Combating Mis/Dis Information, Voting Rights, and Collaboration with other nonpartisan organizations.
We distributed Get Out the Vote and Vote 411 information, developed and delivered Pros and Cons presentations, participated in voter registration, held one forum and contributed one poll worker. We reached over 4000 Orange County residents. Activities included Lunch with League, Pros and Cons presentations, Observer Corps, Mis/Disinformation presentations, and more.
We had just 50 of our 175 members actively involved in these activities. These members invested approximately 3000 hours. We are very grateful for their hard work.
