Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the League hold Warrant Review Sessions? How are they different from Town Hearings?

The LWVCC Warrant Review Sessions are meant to complement the Town of Concord’s official hearings by offering another opportunity to learn about the warrant articles. These sessions are held in a more conversational setting and are open to everyone—no need to have attended a town hearing to join in. Whether you're following the issues closely or just beginning to get involved, you're encouraged to come, ask questions, and take part in the discussion.

Are all warrant article be discussed?

Not all. We prioritize articles that are likely to spark deeper community interest or debate. The final selection is influenced by what we learn at earlier town hearings.

Who presents at the sessions?

Presenters include article petitioners, town officials (such as Finance Committee or Select Board members), and subject matter experts. We strive to feature a range of perspectives for a well-rounded discussion.

Are the events recorded?

Yes. All sessions will be recorded and made available on the LWVCC YouTube channel.

Will LWVCC issue recommendations?

Yes. The LWVCC Board met after the Warrant Review Sessions to finalize and publish recommendations.
