The Action‑Advocacy Committee is committed to taking meaningful action to promote and defend democracy in our community. We address important issues affecting our lives.

We invite you to learn more about the initiatives we are undertaking in collaboration with our local, state, and national partners and affiliates, and to join us in our efforts!

If you have questions or would like to receive the meeting link, please email action-advocacy [at] lwvdv.org and include “Action‑Advocacy Meeting link” in the subject line.

Preliminary Agenda:
  • Join us for a special presentation on the Connect Bay Area regional transportation ballot measure. Our guest speaker will walk us through what the measure proposes, what it aims to accomplish, and how it could shape the future of mobility in our region. This is a valuable opportunity to get clear, factual information and ask questions about an issue that affects all Bay Area communities.
  • Learn what’s at stake for California’s coast—and for our voice in shaping its future. The California Natural Resources Agency has submitted the state’s formal response to the federal coastal review. Join us to hear what this means for coastal protection, local authority, and the future of California’s shoreline.
  • Acalanes Union High School District (AUHSD) Parcel Tax Measure will be on the November ballot. Guest speakers from the local campaign will explain the measure’s goals, funding details, and community impact.
