Mary Jane Sanchez-Fulton is the current president-elect of LULAC Inland Empire (League of United Latin American Citizens) where she works as a selfless advocate and champion of the voiceless and underserved student populations in the San Bernardino Area.

Mary Jane is the first Latina Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Desert Community College District and also serves a representative on the American Association of Community College Trustees. She has been a professor/educator in local universities and community colleges for more than 15 years.  Her educational vision of the College District includes creating a tuition- free community college education for all Coachella valley residents, a free bus line to the college so students get to work and school, a food pantry for students at need and someday establishing another campus in this large region.

Mary is also a Board Member on the Riverside County RDA Oversight Committee representing the cities of Indio and Desert Hot springs where she has brought a strong corporate background. 

She is the daughter of single parent and is a first generation Latino immigrant.
