About Membership
Membership to the League of Women Voters, the most respected grassroots organization in this country, is open to anyone 16 years or older. Our members are passionate activists who work together to create positive and lasting changes in our communities.
Your dues help LWVODC meet its administrative expenses in support of our community forums, membership meetings, and voter education through candidate forums, voter services, and community education. A portion of each member's annual dues is paid to the LWV-US and LWV-NC to assist their efforts on behalf of all Leagues.

How Do I Join?
1. Pay your Individual or Family Membership dues online.
2. Pay your Individual or Family Membership dues online by an Automatic Annual Renewal Subscription.
3. Pay your membership dues by check: Make your check payable to LWVODC and mail to: LWVODC, PO Box 3397, Chapel Hill NC 27515-3397. An Individual Membership is $60.00 and a Family Membership for two members at the same address is $90. For more than two members at the same address in a Family Membership, add $30 for each. Include with your check, the following information. First / Last Name, Address, County (Orange / Durham / Chatham), Phone number and Email. If there is more than one member, please include their Name, Email, and Phone number. Please print this information. Your information is used only for League membership and is not shared.
If you would like to include a non tax-deductible donation with your membership check, include the amount in your membership check. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation, a separate check for the amount of this denotion needs to be made addressed to LWVODC Education Fund.
4. A student membership is free. A student is defined as an individual who is enrolled either full or part-time in an accredited institution. Online Membership Payments
You do not need a personal PayPal account to make an online membership payment or to make a donation to the League.
An Individual membership is $60. You can choose the Individual membership payment option of $60, or you can choose the Individual payment option of $63.15, which includes your membership combined with a contributition of $3.15 to help us cover PayPal's transaction fee for your membership.
