On Nov 2, 2019, the League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus will partner with the 32-county Girl Scouts of Ohio Heartland to present the VOTER Girl Project® to teach scouts at all levels—from Daisies to Ambassadors— about citizenship, voting and leadership with the goal of earning their Citizenship Badge. The event will take place at the Columbus Culinary Institute, 2435 Stelzer Rd (near Easton), from 8:00am - 4:00pm. We will need volunteers for a variety of tasks, from food drop-off to teaching the planned curriculum, and welcome LWVMC members or interested friends with youth leadership experience to take part. Last year was a sell-out event with 200+ participants, and we look forward to another successful program this year. If you would like to receive notification about volunteer opportunities, please complete the survey here. There will also be a short informational meeting at 2:00pm Sunday, August 18, at the Upper Arlington Public Library, 2800 Tremont Rd 43221, if you are able to attend.
