Folk Songs of Times of Struggles, Inspiration, History and Building Communities.

Join the League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus for a special Sunday afternoon fundraiser featuring longtime Columbus musician Bill Cohen in a 1960s-style folk music coffee house concert!

Step back into the folk music revival of the 1950s, '60s, and '70s as Bill Cohen leads an engaging sing-along featuring songs of struggle, inspiration, history, and community. Together, we'll celebrate the music made famous by artists such as Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, Peter, Paul and Mary, the Kingston Trio, the Weavers, Harry Belafonte, Tom Paxton, the Limelighters, and more. Special guest Carl Yaffey will add extra sparkle with his banjo!

Sing and clap along to love songs, children's songs, work songs, civil rights songs, anti-war songs, lullabies, and other folk classics. Whether you know every lyric or simply enjoy listening, you'll experience the energy, connection, and sense of community that have made these timeless songs so meaningful across generations.
