Support of policies and practices that are environmentally current, economically feasible and in regulatory compliance, and which encourage and promote sustainability.

• Support inter-jurisdictional solutions, arrived at with public input and sustained by an informed public for natural resource management in the following areas:

1. WATER: Maintain high quality drinking water supply through conservation and facility maintenance.

2. WASTEWATER: Support practices that minimize non-point source water pollution. (2026)

3.  SOLID WASTE: Promote reducing, reusing and recycling of solid waste, diversion of solid waste from the landfill, and composting of biodegradable materials. (2021)

4. LAND USE:

   • Encourage green space and conservation development.

   • Require an impact study for all annexation requests and land use plans

   • Annex land that the city now provides with city services (2014, 2015)

   • Support of locally initiated community-based collaborative projects for green space, wildlife habitat, and native plantings. (2021)

5. ENERGY: Support locally initiated community-based collaborative projects for renewable energy and conservation, including electric aggregation programs. (2013, 2026)

6. CLIMATE: Support the Oxford Climate Action Plan. (2020, 2026)
