Call To Council 2020

The 2020 LWVRI Council will be a Zoom meeting held on Monday, June 22 beginning at 10 AM.

Council is held on even numbered years. At Council, delegates elect directors and approve the budget. The Council also has the power to change or adopt program. Local leagues, LWVRI officers and committee chairs, and the LWVRI Education Fund will also present reports.

All members of the League may attend the meeting and are encouraged to attend. However, only Council delegates may vote. Delegates are composed of the president of each local League or an alternate, one delegate chosen by each local League, the LWVRI Board of Directors, and one delegate representing the LWVRI's members-at-large. Please contact your local League if you wish to be a delegate to Council.

The Agenda, 2020 - 2021 Proposed Budget, and Nominating Committee Report will be emailed to registered attendees. Please review our LWVRI Positions on this website. Certainly, LWVRI cannot take action on all positions. We shall emphasize Redistricting and Voting processes and Access to Voting especially during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
