On October 2, the Providence League held its 8th annual tea at Val’s Pie and Tea Shoppe in Smithfield, RI. Professor Emily Copeland of Bryant University gave an excellent talk on current European politics and fielded lots of questions ranging from a definition of fascism to sanctions on Russia.
This was a new location for us. The food was delicious with truly amazing scones, a variety of tasty sandwiches, and exceptionally generous portions. We all carried home boxes with the leftovers to share with our families.
