H7100 is scheduled for a House vote May 17. The LetRIVoteAct (H7100), a League legislative priority, was approved by the House Committee on State Government and Elections on May 10 and sent to the full House recommending it for passage. The bill has the same provisions that the RI Senate passed 4/26!!

The legislation removes the requirement for two witnesses on a mail ballot, removes the requirement for an excuse to vote by mail or vote early in person, and provides for secure drop boxes, online application to request a mail ballot, multi-lingual voter information hotline, and voter list maintenance.

League members are urged to write, email, or call their representatives, asking them to vote for the Let RI Vote Act when it comes to the House floor. https://bit.ly/LRIVhouse
