A shout out to Boston Globe reporter Dan McGowan who pointed out in his daily "Rhode Map" emails that many cities and towns in Rhode Island have local referenda on the ballot this November. Dan provided lists (see below) of what he thought the most interesting local questions. (He did not say the list was complete, so check with your local Board of Canvassers about your city or town's ballot questions.)

Barrington, Central Falls, Charlestown, Coventry, Cranston, Cumberland, Exeter, Foster, Hopkinton, Jamestown, Johnston, Middletown, and Narragansett

New Shoreham, Newport, North Kingstown, Pawtucket, Providence, Richmond, Tiverton, West Warwick, Westerly, and Woonsocket

The Public Finance Management Board (PFMB) was created during the 1986 Session of the General Assembly for the purpose of providing advice and assistance to issuers of tax-exempt debt in the State of Rhode Island.
