We know that the Climate Emergency is not tomorrow, it is now.
Every day, we learn of another worsening impact of clmate change.

The National League of Women Voters provides guidance on Climate Action Plans–what’s important and why, what local Leagues can say, advocate, and DO.

Our Climate Action Plan team - a group of 21 League members from 8 states - has done an exhaustive study of city, county and regional climate action plans. We have defined TEN Actions that cities and regions can take right away, and TEN Processes that can help implement these actions.

We urge local Leagues to review and USE this information in local advocacy for specific actions that actually reduce emissions.
