Civics education is the underpinnings of a healthy democracy and civic engagement creates healthy communities. The League has joined the RI Civics Coalition and we encourage you to register for the webinars during upcoming Civic Learning Week.

Rhode Island Civic Learning Week seeks to empower all of us to see ourselves as participants and changemakers in our democracy. The week’s events will highlight the voices of youth and teachers as we build on and contribute to the state’s efforts to improve civic education. Co-hosted with RIDE, the RI Department of State, RI Council for the Humanities, teachers, and students from across Rhode Island, all events are free and most will be hosted virtually. Everyone is invited to attend and participate in Civic Learning Week, including students, teachers, administrators, policymakers, parents, and the general public.
