The LWVUS is maintaining a summary of key features of the For the People Act to inform all Leagues in their advocacy and educational efforts!

On March 4th, 2021, the House of Representatives passed HR1, or the For the People Act. Now the bill has come to the Senate as S1. This bill comprises a bold, transformative set of reforms to strengthen our democracy and return political power to the people. The League is proud to support such a consequential democracy reform legislation and it is long past time to for our nation to pass it.
