Get Out The Vote Toolkit

Get Out The Vote Toolkit

We are committed to ensuring that all voters are able to safely and securely cast their ballot during the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to support individuals and community partners who are also committed to this work! New strategies are needed to register voters and get out the vote in 2020, because in-person registration events and candidate forums are much more difficult.

We are developing an array of resources to inform and mobilize voters for the 2020 elections,
including virtual candidates forums and this Get-Out-the Vote toolkit.

Voting Action Alert: Ensure Safe Elections

This fall, the LWV of South Carolina released an action alert requesting that interested parties write their legislators to ask them to put special measures in place to make sure voters have a safe, secure, and accessible voting opportunity in the 2020 Election.

Please consider how your Get Out the Vote effort could be positively impacted by expanded absentee voting (allowing every voter to vote absentee for this election and apply online) and having adequately staffed polling places. Then write your legislator and ask them to take action!
