About Women's Equality Day
Women’s Equality Day began as a celebration of Women getting the right to vote. However, the concept of equality is not applied to all women and all issues. Many challenges still exist and we must keep calling for the Equal Rights amendment to be enshrined in the US Constitution. Women in all walks of life face pay inequity, unpaid family leave, inadequate child care options, and disparities in healthcare access and in overall medcal care.
