Join us at the LWV HHI-BA Women's Equality Day for a view of women's accomplishments and challenges through the lens of women in sports featuring our speakers Rosie Jones and Katie Ruth (bios here).

Women’s Equality Day began as a celebration of Women getting the right to vote. However, the concept of equality is not applied to all women and all issues. Our guest speakers will share their stories of how professional sports guided them personally and professionally, their accomplishments, and the challenges that still exist. Women in all walks of life face pay inequity, unpaid family leave, inadequate child care options, and disparities in healthcare access and in overall medcal care. This is a community wide event.
