Here's what we do:
The League holds voter registration drives:
-
On National Voter Registration Day – the 4th Tuesday of September each year.
-
In high schools and colleges for students, teachers, and staff.
-
At community events.
The League informs voters about candidates and Issues:
- Online at VOTE411 where voters can preview their individual ballots, compare candidates, and read about ballot measures.
- At candidate forums. Candidates for a specific office answer questions and discuss issues; the public is invited. These are generally at the state and local levels.
- Through information brochures on candidates and issues in upcoming elections.
The League helps Individuals learn where and how to vote. We:
- Provide information and clarify how to vote in person or absentee by mail.
- Help individuals get to the polls safely and use proper procedures.
