Meet Our Virginia Tech Democracy Fellows

A small and passionate group of Virginia Tech students are busy on campus this fall registering their fellow students to vote, telling them about early voting and helping them figure out where to vote.  Come join us at Bull and Bones at 5:30 on Tuesday, October 7th, to meet these VT Democracy Fellows students and hear about their work.

The eight Democracy Fellows are being funded by a $4,000 grant from our League of Women Voters of Montgomery County.

Last year, the Democracy Fellows registered 899 students and referred over 1,000 students to online election information. No matter how many adult volunteers we could organize, we could never have the impact that these students are having in encouraging young people to vote.

Come join us at Bull and Bones on October 7th to meet the students and to talk with fellow League members about November’s upcoming election.

Bring a friend who is interested in this fall’s election and wants to learn more about the work being done by our League both on campus and here in the community.
