Candidate forums for Blacksburg and Christiansburg candidates for mayor, Town Council, Board of Supervisors, and School Board will be held between Thursday, Sept. 23, and Sunday, Oct. 10. The League of Women Voters of Montgomery County and the Montgomery County–Radford City–Floyd County Branch of the NAACP will host the events.
The candidates will talk about their positions and answer questions from voters. The forums will be on Zoom because of health recommendations.
Those attending are encouraged both to submit questions during registration and during the forum using Zoom’s Q&A box. The forum moderator will address those questions to all the candidates, rotating the order in which questions are asked between the candidates.
Each candidate will have 2 minutes to introduce themselves and tell why they are running for office and 2 minutes for a closing statement as well as responding to questions.
