The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. The League never endorses or opposes candidates or political parties. We influence public policy through education and advocacy. We invite men and women to join us!

The League is going to be very active this fall, with voter registration, candidate roundtables, Pros & Cons of ballot issues, adding content to Voters Edge California, and more! Here are some ideas for when and how you can be involved.

Our August 18 meeting will be a fun morning of meeting other leaguers and community members. We will learn about voter service activities and then conclude with a potluck lunch and casual discussion of political books that individual members have read. Bring your calendar, to sign up for volunteer opportunities!

Note: This letter was sent in response to the article in the Sunday Insight section that discussed recent IRS action that will eliminate reporting requirements for "dark money" donated to certain nonprofits, as well as a new film, "Dark Money", premiering in the Bay Area.
