The Membership Committee’s goal is to engage LWVDV members in empowering voters and defending democracy. We connect members to League committees and activities.

• Ensuring that new members and renewing members are contacted with ways to become engaged
• Coordinating initial and follow-up efforts with new/returning members
• Coordinating Committee members' participation in monthly Saturday no-host coffees for members
• Planning and coordinating upcoming new/prospective member Orientations and membership committee social event

Membership Committee Meetings

Membership Committee meetings are held monthly on the 1st Tuesday from 5-6:30 pm, on Zoom. Your participation is encouraged - we welcome new ideas and perspectives.

New Member Orientation Meetings

We hold orientations for members and guests regularly, to give an overview of the League's history, mission, procedures, and current priorities, and to discuss ways you can get involved. If you have recently joined LWVDV, if you would like to come as a guest to learn about the League, or if you are a member who wants to get more involved, we hope you will attend! 

• 2nd Tuesday, 7-8 pm, Zoom only
• 3rd Saturday, 9:30-10:30 am, Zoom and in-person at the Walnut Creek library

Coffee Saturday Socials (No-Host)

All members and potential members are welcome! Let’s connect and strengthen our LWVDV community. Join us for a no-host coffee held on the 4th Saturday of every month 9:30-11:00 am at Panera Bread in Walnut Creek (Countrywood Shopping Center, 744 Bancroft).
