The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. The League never endorses or opposes candidates or political parties. We influence public policy through education and advocacy. 

Making democracy work requires hard work and constant effort, no matter which political party happens to be in power. We invite everyone to join us!

The League of Women Voters of Diablo Valley serves the communities of Alamo, Antioch, Bay Point, Bethel Island, Brentwood, Byron, Canyon, Concord, Danville, Diablo, Discovery Bay, Knightsen, Lafayette, Martinez, Moraga, Oakley, Orinda, Pacheco, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill, Rossmoor, San Ramon and Walnut Creek.

Public Statement

The League of Women Voters President Dianna Wynn and CEO Celina Stewart issued the following joint statement in response to the US Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision in Louisiana v. Callais, a case concerning the constitutionality of Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965:

Volunteers are needed to assist immigrants with preparation of their asylum forms and to be present in the Immigration Court in Concord to support immigrants going through the asylum process.

We are in need of volunteers to stock Voter Registration forms in libraries, post offices, and other sites throughout our LWVDV area, particularly in East Contra Costa County.
