The League takes action on climate

The League submitted comments to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) opposing their proposed rule "Reconsideration of 2009 Endangerment Finding and Greenhouse Gas Vehicle Standards."  This rule, if adopted, would take away the EPA's authority to regulate harmful greenhouse gases.

In our last Climate Change Committee meeting we discussed the "Power Talk" document that was presented in a Zoom meeting by the Climate Action Plan team of the League's Climate Interest Group (CIG). "Power Talk" is a primer for how our electricity is generated, distributed and regulated.

We discuss climate mis/disinformation in our meetings because it works against the adoption of renewable solutions. This short video, The Secret to Talking about Climate Change, contains good advice for talking to skeptics about the climate.

The Climate Change Committee helps with education to to identify things we can do to reduce the causes of climate change and adapt to our changing future.
