This month is Earth Month! Earth Day was started in 1970 by activists in Santa Barbara in response to a large oil spill off the coast on January 28, 1969. Since then, we take the time each year to remind ourselves that we must be good stewards of the environment of our home planet, a unique planet which has enabled life to thrive Here are some great activities happening this month in the area:

In our meeting this month, we will continue discussions on how we can take action to mitigate climate change and continue our discussions on how to identify and counter misinformation.
The Climate Change Committee meets at 3pm on the fourth Thursday of the month unless it is a holiday, then meets on the third Thursday. The next meeting will be on April 24th.
