Recent events
  • May 1st - 2:00-4:00pm we had volunteers at the May Day - Workers Over Billionaires event sponsored by Indivisible Ventura and Justice for All at the County Government Center in Ventura. Since was a brief event, we mingled with the crowd and distributed literature, but did not have a table. 
  • June 14th - 11am-5pm we tabled at the Love is Love Oxnard Pride Festival in Heritage Square, Oxnard
  • June 20th - 10am-6pm we tabled at the Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration in Plaza Park, at 500 S C Street, Oxnard, CA
Making Democracy Visible in Your Community

Join us as we bring the League of Women Voters of Ventura County directly to your neighborhoods! Our Community Outreach team serves as the vibrant face of democracy at local events throughout Ventura County, engaging with residents and sharing vital information about voting rights and civic engagement.

What We Do

We create meaningful connections at community festivals, cultural celebrations, and educational events across Ventura County. Our dedicated volunteers share resources on voter education, democracy, and current issues that matter to our community.

Get Involved

Volunteering with Community Outreach is flexible and rewarding! We welcome members to join us for 2-4 hour shifts at various events, where you'll:

  • Connect with diverse community members
  • Share valuable voting information
  • Represent the League in our signature LWV shirts
  • Enjoy Ventura County's beautiful outdoor venues
