Activities:

On October 18th we joined the crowds at the spectacularly successful No Kings Day II, held at the Ventura County Government Center.
Many thanks to our volunteers: Barbara Doyle, Doris Simmelink, Betti Mentzer, Cathy Trevino, and Karen Savitt, who distributed information about the League and opportunities for action.

On October 19th, we participated for the first time in the Thousand Oaks Rotary Street Fair. It was an all-day event and required many volunteers. Special thanks to Lillian and Gary Zelinski for overseeing our presence at the event.
Saturday, November 8, 2025, 12:00-3:00pm - the Conejo Valley Community Action Fair at Conejo Creek North Park, 1379 E Janss Rd Thousand Oaks, CA 91362. This event is new to us. SignUpGenius volunteer invitations have been sent. There is still time to add your name if you would like to participate.
Join us as we bring the League of Women Voters of Ventura County directly to your neighborhoods! Our Community Outreach team serves as the vibrant face of democracy at local events throughout Ventura County, engaging with residents and sharing vital information about voting rights and civic engagement.
What We Do
We create meaningful connections at community festivals, cultural celebrations, and educational events across Ventura County. Our dedicated volunteers share resources on voter education, democracy, and current issues that matter to our community.

Get Involved
Volunteering with Community Outreach is flexible and rewarding! We welcome members to join us for 2-4 hour shifts at various events, where you'll:
- Connect with diverse community members
- Share valuable voting information
- Represent the League in our signature LWV shirts
- Enjoy Ventura County's beautiful outdoor venues
