The Housing & Homeless Committee invites you to join us at our meetings. We welcome fresh ideas on how we can support housing initiatives of all types, as well as prevention programs and essential services for our community.

News for October

The Committee on Affordable Housing and Homelessness continues to broaden our scope and input from people knowledgeable in these fields.

The September meeting featured Peter Robinson, an advocate for people experiencing homelessness. He has the kind of lived experience that makes everything he says is believable.

A post on Facebook and Nextdoor has been widely shared about a senior woman named Barbara and the challenges, frustrations, and barriers she faced in finding housing, even after contacting all known agencies. Peter is on the front line of working with the few advocates trying to help Barbara.

Join Us!

Come join our Committee and bring your ideas and enthusiasm! Together, we can make a meaningful difference in addressing housing challenges in Ventura County.
