Reaching the Next Generation of Voters

LWVVC Voter Registration Volunteers 9-30-2026Our newly trained volunteers have been stepping up and using their voices in the classrooms, which has been very helpful. They are doing a great job!

In September: Here is what our voter registration volunteers have accomplished:
  • Visited 12 high schools
  • Spoke to 1,772 students
  • Registered or pre-registered 615 students in addition to 113 already registered.

In October we will visit 8 more high schools.

LWVVC Voter Registration Volunteers 9-30-2026We constantly look for ways to improve our program, getting feedback from students and teachers. Our favorite feedback so far: “Thank you for promoting democracy.”

We added a short video (when we have enough time) that encourages people to vote in the midterm election - brought to us by When We All Vote and members of the Hamilton cast. We love the catchy tunes and lyrics, and it's a hit with the students.

Volunteer trainings will resume next February, so let us know if you are interested in getting trained. If you trained in August, you will not need to retrain in the Spring. To be added to the list for next February, just email us.

For questions or to be added to our list, contact us at lwvvc.info [at] gmail.com (subject: LWVVC%20Voter%20Reg%20Training) .
