Contact your State Legislators and Ask Them to Support Early Voting and No-Excuse Absentee Ballots

We view protecting the right to vote and the opportunity to exercise that right as paramount for our representative democracy to survive and thrive. Due to the restrictive language in the State Constitution, we will need to amend the State Constitution language in order to update our election laws to provide each Connecticut voter the options of Early In-Person Voting and Absentee Ballot voting for any reason. If the Connecticut General Assembly passes these two resolutions in 2021, it means that CT voters will get to vote on it in 2022 and decide whether or not to amend the CT Constitution to allow Early Voting and No-Excuse Absentee Voting in future elections.

Step 1 - Contact your State legislators to ask them to support resolutions to propose an amendment to the State Constitution to permit Early Voting and No-Excuse Absentee Voting:

Use the Connecticut Business & Industry Association lookup tool find out who your representatives are and how to contact them: Find Your Legislators

If your legislators are already supportive, thank them, and ask them to convey their strong support to members of the Government Administration and Elections (GAE) Committee, if they are not already members.
