TODAY ONLY: Contact House Leadership and Your Representative about SB 5

SB 5 Action Alert
Time Range For Action Alert:
Jun 08 2021 to Jun 09 2021

Contact House Leadership and your State Representative NOW and urge them to pass SB 5.

The HOUSE has only TODAY, June 8, to bring SB 5 up for a vote with an amendment that Speaker Ritter thinks will help the bill pass and that the Senate is likely to accept. The Senate passed the bill as it is 25-10 on May 25th, but because it is expected to be amended, the bill has to go BACK to the Senate for final approval. That means we ONLY HAVE TODAY to take action.

If you are unable to reach House Leaders or your Representative or her/his aide with a call, please send an email.

Dear Representative [NAME]:

My name is [FULL NAME] and I am your constituent in [YOUR TOWN].

Please vote to pass the Substitute for SB5, which updates CT's voting laws.

This bill will make our elections more accessible, safe, and secure and build confidence in elections and government by

  • Providing Permanent Absentee Ballot lock boxes
