One Struggle. One Fight. Know Your Rights Before You March This May Day.
This May Day, workers across the country are taking to the streets to demand dignity, safety, and justice for all—no matter where we're from or what language we speak. But with the threats from the current administration, it's more important than ever to know your rights before you take action.
Join the ACLU for a Know Your Rights training ahead of May Day to prepare yourself, your friends, and your community. Whether you're planning to protest, support from the sidelines, or just want to stay informed—this training is for you.
When: Tuesday, April 29th at 7 PM ET
Where: On Zoom [RSVP For the Link]]
At this Know Your Rights Training, we will equip you with the knowledge to:
- Assert your rights when protesting or confronted by law enforcement
- Protect yourself and others when approached by police, ICE, or other law enforcement
- Push back against unconstitutional attacks on free speech and immigrant communities
Why this Matters:
The Trump administration continues to escalate attacks on protesters, immigrants, and anyone speaking out for justice. But the First Amendment protects all of us—regardless of immigration status.
Knowing your rights is the first step toward protecting them. This training is about building power through knowledge—and ensuring that everyone can show up safely and boldly this May Day.
May Day is for all of us to speak up. RSVP and join us so you can get ready.
Notice of Accessibility: The ACLU strives to create inclusive and accessible events that enable all individuals to fully engage with its programming. For this event, we are providing ASL and live closed-captioning services.
