Advocacy for the CT Environmental Rights Amendment Training Session
With so much happening in our country and the world, we could lose track of the attacks on our environment at the Federal level. From blocking clean renewable energy to eliminating environmental justice programs to undercutting the Clean Water Act, and far beyond, the damage done in such a short time is almost beyond description.
One thing we can do is protect the people, the land, and the environment of our own state. We can hold our own state responsible for upholding its climate commitments. We can amend our state constitution to protect our fundamental human right to a healthy environment for all people and future generations. We can pass the CT Environmental Rights Amendment.
This will be an in-depth training session with state advocates and Maya van Rossum (founder and national leader of the movement for Green Amendments in states across the U.S.) to prepare advocates to reach out across their local communities, respond to questions, and neutralize opposition to the CT Environmental Rights Amendment.
This event will take place in the Buchanan Auditorium at the Mansfield Public Library in Mansfield Center, CT.
