Candidates for Secretary of the State are going on the record and on Thursday, March 31st at 7:00 PM you’ll hear from them live (virtually).

Exploring and declared candidates will respond live at this nonpartisan candidate forum to the Our Democracy 2022 Connecticut questionnaire on strengthening democracy.

As we head toward election day on Nov. 8th, 2022—the day when voters will decide if our state will finally allow Early Voting—we need to make sure every candidate goes on the record right now and tells voters how they will defend and strengthen the freedom to vote.

That’s why Common Cause CT sent a nonpartisan survey to every candidate for Connecticut Secretary of the State, asking them if they support commonsense freedom to vote reforms. Some of these reforms need immediate action since state lawmakers will end the 2022 regular legislative session on May 4th.
