Join the League of Womev Voters of Redding and the Mark Twain Library virtually for the Conversations summer program, a continuation of our exploration of truth, myth and democracy in America.

Participants are invited to select texts and/or videos from the categories listed below and, by using the process of triangulation, make cross references of essential points of view from text to text.  There will be two group meetings for an open exchange of discoveries.  We will meet Wednesday, July 28th (you have a choice of attending a morning or evening session) and then continue the discussion on Wednesday, August 25th (also two sessions offered.)  Join us for either one or both dates.

Our discussion will be moderated by Tom Kilbourn, ordained Episcopal priest and retired Joel Barlow High School English teacher.

This discussion group is created in an effort to offer our community an opportunity to continue the conversation on race.   Join us for one conversation or many.  The group is intended to be a forum where community members can safely exchange ideas, hear differing perspectives, and talk about race.

There are two sessions of this program; you may register for the session at 10:00 am or the second session at 7:30 pm.   By registering through the registration link above you are registering for the morning session to be held on Wednesday, July 28th at 10:00 am.  Click here to register for the evening session to be held on Wednesday, July 28th at 7:30 pm.

Registration is required and limited to 40 participants for each session to allow for open and productive participation.   The program will be hosted via Zoom.  Registered participants will receive an invitation the day of the program. Include your cell phone number on the registration form and receive one text reminder, approximately 30 minutes before the program begins.
